I did this with my first graders! We would give them a certificate, take their picture with their shoe and put it on Seesaw. It was a huge motivator and they loved being the ones that could help their classmates tie their shoes. 💕

To encourage my students to learn how to tie their shoes, we have a shoe tying club. Once they learn how, their name is added to our display and they receive a keychain to hang on their backpack.
