If the US federal government is stripped, why should the individual states continue to pay taxes to or be ruled by it? Why continue with a large union? Groups and single states could separate and keep their taxes, ethics and culture. Some states have economies that rival those of other countries.

America has to hit rock bottom before they'll vote in their best interests. Ontario has an election on the 27th. My district, Muskoka, has basically been PC since the 50s. It truly does not matter what party I vote for. But wild horses could not stop me from voting. It is my duty to vote.

Well, those same people have had a lot of practice as venture capitalists taking apart American corporations and selling off their parts. I lost my last THREE jobs when that happened. The successful firms I worked for were blown apart & sold; 1 to foreign corps., 1 eventually declaring bankruptcy.
