Bones and All
Swallow. Me. Whole.
Unhinge your jaw
Like a serpent
And let me slide
Across your tongue.
Crush me down
To pulp and nutrients—
So I can nourish
That hollow ache
Below your sternum.
I will root there,
Inside your ribcage,
Until
You are bursting
With fruit.
