Book #3 There’s so much to unpack about this. One thing that sticks with me is the different ways in which @zeets.bsky.social captures the physical manifestation of the pain of migration and being othered; both within the family unit and society as a whole.

The reader feels the toll it takes on his father and how his father passes that burden onto Zito as a child and then still as an adult. This may be recency bias, but I won’t be surprised if this is in the hall of fame of diasporic lit 10 years from now. I certainly want to spend more time with it
