Let parents moderate their children make them sponsors of their accounts so that anything that children do on gander is then approved by the parent not by moderators from Gander. It is not your responsibility to raise children.

I hate how we still frame the internet like some pristine front for digital privacy and freedom. Those days are largely over. They ended like 20 years ago. Bad shit is happening on the internet.

We need better oversight and moderation of platforms like YouTube, too. There shouldn't be kids "programming" on YouTube. It's vile, predatory, and totally without oversight. There should be warning labels on content that is opinion based, or straight up AI, or the old Fox News Infotainment trick.

I think schools should run 'discord-like' platforms that students access using their unique student ID. They should lose access to the platform when they are no longer registered at the school. Banning social media for kids without a replacement is asking for it to be circumvented.
