Wood Hawker @beatemupswood.bsky.social · 06/12/2024Is there an EASY way to get files off my iPhone and onto my PC? I don't have a Macbook or anything, and Google Drive keeps crashing. Halp. 29310
ExceedingShadow @exceedingshadow.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I would think Dropbox or maybe a different google drive account?? But idk 000
Eric @ericismyname.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I use a Mac and AirDrop. I haven’t touched Windows in over a decade. 000
Franklinstein (Gage) @franklinstein18.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Windows also has an iCloud app which allows you to sync all photos and files from the files app to your windows computer, much like how one drive is implemented. I personally use a thumb drive to transfer files though 000
Kevin Kenson @kevinkenson.bsky.social · 07/12/2024You can use a cloud storage solution like iCloud or Dropbox, if your iPhone is new enough to have USB-C you can also just plug a portable SSD in and drag and drop over using the files app. That’s what I’ve been doing lately 000
Harry Benson @hazbenson.bsky.social · 07/12/2024For small files you can just email them to your PC and download them there 000
Sir Dr. Mouse, Esq. @meatymouse.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Can’t you directly connect it via USB cable? There’s some kind of phone link app if I remember right. I’m not near my PC or I’d check. 000
stewleach.bsky.social @stewleach.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Try this one trick that will drive everyone crazy. Put your phone in the bath, and then turn the tap on for a full 10 minutes. Don't tell anyone. 000
coyjos @coyjos.bsky.social · 06/12/2024Google photos. Offers free photo backup up to a certain amount of storage, but they have very cheap tiers of you want more storage. Easy to access on any device signed into your Google account. 000
Rogue Ren @rogueren.net · 07/12/2024LocalSend, works on anything on the same wifi network. PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), Android, iPhone, iPad, Tablets, etc etc 000
Kotakoi 🍁 @pekozan.bsky.social · 06/12/2024I use discord, actually. I send the files to myself and then get them on my computer 110
captain-chats.bsky.social @captain-chats.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Log on to iCloud on your pc through your web browser you can then click on photos and down load them from there 000
Pokimike @pokimike.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I do iCloud and then download the iCloud app on my pc. But yea super annoying in general.. 000
Dodmonk @dodmonk.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Does iTunes let you do that? I use it for transferring music 000
Blackbird907 @blackbird907.bsky.social · 06/12/2024There’s an app called LocalSend for every platform that’s basically just airdrop but not limited to just apple devices. I’d say that. Also - you can use usb c flash drives with iPhone 15 forward 000
donniedarko78.bsky.social @donniedarko78.bsky.social · 06/12/2024Not super helpful but when I’ve done this in the past I’ve just used the web browser version of iCloud on my windows setups. 010
benjammin105 @benjammin105.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Can't you just plug it into Windows box and copy the DCIM folder like an Android? 040
pikuniku 2 @woah.poopoobuh.xyz · 06/12/2024Not sure for files, but for photos and videos: Install iTunes. It automatically installs some drivers, which allow you to drag photos and videos over in file explorer. 110
Glowl • Austin 🍤 @glowl.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I just send them to myself on Discord 🤷♀️ not ideal but it works 000
