I'm 14 days late to this post, but "tu es prêt à manger" can also be a euphemism for...how shall I put this, there are dozens of euphemisms in French for the same thing..."polishing the jewel". (Lots of sweets-related metaphors in French, but Alastor doesn't like sweets, so...) #hazbinhotelseason2
