… an online songwriting contest, and got to create & record the song with Bowie and the band! Bowie made a demo with only “la-la” verses. The winner wrote the first verse and got to provide backing vocals! This video includes the demo, followed by a TV segment about it! 2/2 youtu.be/JcmV1Fk5mmg?...

Bowie Day 345 “The Pretty Things are Going to Hell” (1999) Track 7 of “hours…” First straight-up rocker we’ve had in a minute. It’s fun, but the thing that stands out the most to me is the interesting “monster-voice” they’ve got on the vocals here and there. Cool! youtu.be/330xVUHu4Kc?...

Bowie Day 346 “New Angels of Promise” (1999) Track 8 of “hours…” This one I’m a little mixed on as well. Parts of it feel a little chaotic for me, almost like some of the Outside/Earthling songs, but didn’t infect my brain quite like those. *Killer* chorus though. youtu.be/5olNUij-sRo?...
