The more I use ChatGPT the more I'm convinced that AI won't replace us (developers). Example: I don't know anything about Ansible. I'm trying to automate some deployments for my homelab, so I asked ChatGPT some questions with my requirements and after a few tries I had a working example. 🧵

It copy files to one server or more depending some variables, uses templates,... nothing really fancy. Then I asked a friend that knows Ansible a few questions and showed him the code. His first comment was: "That works but there are a lot of bad things that you shouldn't do that way".

It’ll replace because most companies don’t care about the right way to do things just the outcome. You can see this everywhere and AI will make it worse. The unfortunate state of things.
