(Apparently, I usually do a vague scan for men who might be threatening, make note of attractive guys around my age and women of all ages whose clothes I admire, and then single out people behaving annoyingly. But the world is full of children, young teens, and older teenage girls I just ignore.)

Anyway, when you hear complaints about teens or have twinges of annoyance yourself, it's worth questioning them a bit. Do you actually want to live in a city or neighborhood where businesses can dominate civic life by restricting public areas to desirable potential customers?

The annoying teens here are usually aggressively riding their illegal mini motorcycles (“e-bikes“?! stfu.) on the soccer fields at parks or blocking traffic on actual roads. I do not begrudge the ones chillin’ outside the froyo place, & I hate that they’re so restricted from anywhere safe for them

Should access to public spaces depend on your race, your clothing, and whether observers think you're weird? Should all people have an obligation to be and appear busy in public, rather than use public spaces for leisure? Is that a world you want to live in?

My annoyance is a little bit different from being annoyed at ALL teens, but living in a college town and having to deal with a higher than usual amount of older teenagers here for University, I'm usually only really annoyed when they do dangerous stuff. Like driving extremely dangerously.
