nightmare started in 2012 after the Shelby v Holder decision; what did the D's do? Absolutely nothing. They had 2 yrs (!) to thwart these decisions w/ legislation in 2009 when they had a SUPERMAJORITY (!) plus convince RBG to retire but Obama wanted to "reach across the aisle". So naive, all of them
