A Death in Glasgow
A Death in Glasgow by Eva Macrae is an impressive debut and a standout addition to the growing wave of Scottish crime fiction. Atmospheric, unsettling, and emotionally charged, it introduces Sergeant May Mackay — a character who feels instantly real and deeply human. May is tough, sharp, and driven by a strong moral compass, yet Macrae never shies away from showing her vulnerabilities.
