I always get one or two new students every semester asking about my religious leanings, but this is the first semester I've had a NOTABLE number of asks, and all of them phrasing it like, "Are you a believer?" "Are you religious?" "Would you consider yourself saved?"

My usual response is, it depends on how you're definining [term in question]! Because that is both a fun non-answer and an accurate representation of the situation.
