Herugavialis cairensis, a new species of crocodile, was identified from fossils found in the 45-million-year-old Mokattam Formation in Egypt #pixelart #ドット絵 #SciArt #paleoart #crocodile

Pixel art of Herugavialis cairensis, a crocodile species that lived in Egypt around 45 million years ago when there were shallow seas covering a large area of the country. There are two individuals, on in the lower left in shadows and one in the middle right more brightly lit. Both have a greenish colour, bright eyes and their long narrow snouts open. They are on the edge of a body of water with palm-like plants in the background and several rocky outcrops nearby.
