one thing i learnt on my very brief trip is how easy it is to lie to people i don’t know.
i didn’t hear someone a few times: “sorry mate im deaf in this ear”
oh i’m from *insert country*: “oh yeah i went there last year!”
its just so empowering being able to lie without consequence.
