"ai makes art accessible" is an argument i hate to my fucking bones. Art is EASILY accessible, I'd argue it's the cheapest most accessible hobby because all you need is a pen and paper. "yeah but not everyone has skills" no everyone has the skill, you just need to put in the work 1/7 🧵

I firmly believe anyone can draw and make great art, it'll take time, sweat and tears but you will get there, i know you will, don't give up because you "suck", you will fail and fail until you do well. "but it's time consuming/takes a lot of effort" And? there's joy in creating and- 2/7

-a sense of achievement in putting in work and seeing results. I derive my joy of drawing from the process, not the finished piece. A finished piece is definitely joyous, but knowing that I made it, put in the effort, and learned new shit to make it happen is- the process- is my main enjoyment 3/7

That there is the first sign that slop lovers don't care about art. They just want the instant gratification.

I'm not pro-AI. But some people can't draw. Me, for example. I can't must the imagination to draw anything. Like a wheelchair-bound person can't compete in a common marathon, I can't draw. Then again, since I can't imagine scenes to ask an AI to draw, it is useless trash all the same :)
