The Beatles: Get Back (2021) 🧵

John Lennon and Paul McCartney play their favorite songs from their days in Germany with The Thamesmen

(Cups and Cakes, written by Nigel Tufnel/David St. Hubbins)

Ringo, the luke warm water of the Beatles, explains how he wrote "Octopus' Garden" and why he's just as worthy a Mr. Conductor as George Carlin:

"not to say I haven't had my visionary moments. I've taken acid seventy five, seventy-six times"

John Lennon, after a fight with Yoko Ono about his star chart and another breakup with the rest of the Beatles about Lord Palmerston vs Pitt the Elder:

"I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation. But no, we shan't work together again."

John plays a Mach piece (in D minor, the saddest of chords):
"Well, this piece is called 'Lick My Love Pump'"

"Lick My Love Pump", "Shark Sandwich" and "Listen to the Flower People" would later appear on "The Beatles Anthology Vol 3" among other unreleased songs
