I did the training, and know “special treatment” is reserved for the ones making the most noise, urging others on etc. we trained with hickory batons, CS gas, “rubber” bullets and water cannons. All except the CS gas can be lethal. We were also required to “play” rioter. It hurt. 010

Shatter resistant safety goggles can only mitigate damage at best. Be safe out there, be aware of your surroundings, and consider that anyone pointing a gun at you, intends to harm you. A young nurse (seat mate) who was working with the UN in Palestine/Israel described the horrific injuries from these projectiles. They can be lethal with many deaths recorded. Certainly debilitating. Not humane. Show the injuries... 063

Most civilized countries outlaw its use or restrict use by law enforcement to the most extreme situations. And they have to justify using it similar to the procedure they follow when discharging a firearm. It's inhumane. 131

They know they are taking chances and may kill unarmed nonviolent people. The overtime pay “we” are paying to them will likely assuage any guilt they may feel. 010
