For U.S. #genealogy, one tool that I use regularly is The Newberry Library’s Atlas of Historical County Boundaries. Borders change! The Atlas helps pinpoint your ancestors’ locations over time. #FamilyHistory digital.newberry.org/ahcb/

Ok #genealogy peeps, what are your favourite research tools? Two of my favourites have to be timelines ⏳and mind maps💡. How about you? #FamilyHistory #LocalHistory #ResearchMethods

I can’t tell you how many times I had records for an ancestor suggesting they lived in different locations only to discover they’d never moved; the county’s borders had changed around them!

Love the Newberry Library Atlas - just used it last week to figure out counties in New Jersey to know where to look for records #Genealgoy

That’s a great resource (I’m in the UK), thanks for that!
