Today my son turned 10 and I turned Full Professor. It's been quite a decade!

portion of a letter that reads: "Dear Dr. King: It is with great pleasure that I write to congratulate you on your promotion to Professor at UC Santa Barbara. Promotion to full professor signifies a record of sustained scholarly contributions with significant impact. Please accept my warmest wishes on achieving this milestone in your distinguished professional career. This determination is the result of a thorough and rigorous review by our colleagues and campus agencies."
