he has clearly been very accomplished as a lawyer and an organisational leader and an advisor but he doesn't have political instincts i remember Frank Bruno - sculpted physique, hammer punch. But did not have a boxer's instincts& even up against flabby unfit, ageing natural pugilists not up to it

Yes,unfortunately he is not a good politician.I was prepared to give him a chance but I 'm done with the present Labour Party.I am nearly 70,always voted Labour and can't see a feasible alternative. Very sad about the direction this country is going.

with the exception of post war Attlee (which does not really count cos exceptional circs) Wilson MK1 and Blair The party has always been more concerned with internal doctrinal factionalism/civil war and ideological purity than doing what was required to win power, stay there and govern well
