Say hello to Facade! Yet another Smiley x Opiate offspring~ His colors are some of my favorites. Art by me, more info in ALT! #MLP #MLPOC #Zebra #Faceless #OC #OriginalCharacter #MyLittlePony

Facade, being born to a Faceless pony and a Zebra, was the only one out of his siblings to be born only half Faceless; everyone else either had a full face or was Faceless. Because of this, he had his own challenges to face that his family hadn't dealt with before, he was missing parts of his mouth, making it seem open constantly, while also lacking important bones and muscles, leaving the bottom jaw to hang open. Because of this, his tongue perpetually hangs out of his mouth. For this reason, he wears a mask that is fashioned after a gas mask like his families, but as while the others wear their for help with breathing, he can breath fine and just uses it to hide his face as well as his extra pair of eyes from those mutant genes kicking in. The band on the bottom helps to keep the bottom jaw from falling completely down, and with it's help, along with learning how to contract the muscles in his tongue in such a way to allow sound to pass through, he's actually able to talk.

Facade is very to himself, growing up he had others make fun of him for his deformities but where his family has been strong and able to put their own bullies in their place, Facade was never able to. That's why he fell in love with theatre, where you can become anyone you want to be. He loves going to shows where he sits in the far back, away from prying eyes, where he quietly reenacts the plays he watches in real time, he's seen them all many many times. In a stroke of confidence one day, Facade decided to move to Applewood, where all the biggest productions are, hoping that one day he'll be brave enough to go across that stage himself. Unfortunately he has yet to bring his confidence high enough to audition for anything, and he has been too shy to make friends with anyone in the city, everyone always seems to be so busy with hustle and bustle.
