Understanding the evolution of C4 photosynthesis informs how it functions under environmental stress. Building on my work at the MSU PRI (@msupri.bsky.social), my lab will also explore strategies for improving photosynthesis under stress in C4 food and bioenergy crops such as maize and sorghum.
