The Fires of Heaven #thewheeloftime #wotbookspoilers

Panel 1: In a tent at night, Egwene sits outraged across from a cool Moiraine. She says, "Is that all you can say? I think Siuan was your friend once, Moiraine. Can't you shed a tear for her?"

Panel 2: A close-up of Moiraine's hands, her thumb stroking her ring, as she says, "I have no time for tears, Egwene."

Panel 3: Another close-up on hands. This time, Moiraine and Siuan's hands, fingers interlaced. Moiraine narrates, "The Dragonwall is not many days distant now, and the Alguenya...." She trails off.

Panel 4: A close-up of Moiraine and Siuan's smiles, leaning in for a kiss.

Panel 5: They kiss, hands moving to undress one another. Moiraine narrates, "...Siuan and I were friends, once."

Panel 1: A downshot of the Amyrlin's study. Gitara is dead on the floor in a pool of black ink. Moiraine and Siuan stand back in white dresses, stunned. Moiraine narrates, "In a few months it will be twenty-one years since we began the search for the Dragon Reborn."
Panel 2: Moiraine and Siuan ride on horseback one cold, winter morning. Siuan sits in the saddle behind Moiraine, hugging her middle, while Moiraine holds the reins and warms one of Siuan's hands with her breath. The Dragonmount is behind them in the far distance. Moiraine narrates, "Only the two of us, newly raised Aes Sedai."
Panel 3: Siuan and Moiraine sit on the floor by a candlelight, a bunch of papers around them. Moiraine narrates, "Sierin Vayu was raised Amyrlin shortly after, a Gray with more than a touch of Red in her."
Panel 4: Moiraine and Siuan sit at a table writing in their notebooks, surrounded by women carrying children. Moiraine narrates, "Had she learned what we intended,"

Panel 1: Moiraine snuggles against Siuan at night while they sleep, their arms around each other. Moiraine narrates, "we would have spent the rest of our lives doing penance with Red Sisters watching us even while we slept."
Next, she narrates, "There is a saying in Cairhien,"
Panel 2: Siuan does the pearl buttons up the back of Moiraine's blue gown.
Panel 3: Siuan pulls a dark blue cloak around Moiraine's shoulders.
Panel 4: A close-up of Siuan sliding Moiraine's ring onto her finger.
Moiraine continues, "though I have heard it as far away as Tarabon and Saldaea."

And my heart is broken all over again 😭💔 The soft and light colors with a storybook feel against the heaviness of the moment ahhhhh

Oh no Not this one comic that is so excruciating and beautiful that I have tears in my eyes each time The composition, the line work, the colours, the words... Everything is perfect but also painful
