Becoming important for the wrong reasons is a ticking time bomb. UX made the same mistake in the 2010s: corpos were excited about the ability of designers to produce screens, so the entire practice oriented around UI to gain legitimacy.
Forward to the 2020s: "Claude can do UI, why do we need you?"
