Keep seeing linkedin posts like: "Just got laid off after automating my work with AI. I love AI and use it every day but..." And then immediately after, posts like: "You will get fired unless you 10x your productivity by automating your process with AI!"

Your bosses will smile and nod while you say "this workflow can only be responsibly used by a professional! and you must always check the work!" and then immediately hand the reins to an intern whose "human in the loop" role is to take the fall if the error bars ever cross a legal limit.

Your expertise is what allows you to recognize when the outputs are bad. To a boss, it looks like they are paying you a premium to point out flaws no one else recognizes. Which means they can save money AND reduce the complaining in one fell swoop. And so you get swooped.
