One of the best books I can recommend is actually not a content design book at all; it's Amundsen's "RESTful Web APIs." Switching mediums from web to APIs has a cognitive estrangement effect: like sci-fi, it gives you distance from the familiar & obvious so you can *really* think about it.

@erikahall.bsky.social's Conversational Design is a great companion book, for bringing the focus back on a human user but without diving into form factors. Instead, it's about the cadence of information flow between the tool and the user; rules for establishing a common language/shared understanding

For those of us who still exist in an 80 x 24 text box, are there any equivalent guides to good design? #TerminalHell And TBC, I mean in designing an application's #CLI, not the terminal application itself, 🤔 though that would be interesting too.
