Pavel @spavel.bsky.social · 29/05/2025Another day, another AI company promises to replace workers on a mass scale soon™️ (in this case: Anthropic, 20%, 5 years). But don't look at what they *say*. Anthropic sells to enterprises on a per-user model. What's likelier: they designed a self-obsoleting business model or they're full of shit? 716425
Andrew F @aftd.dev · 29/05/2025Something I think we don't spend enough time talking about is how quickly knowledge worker productivity gains just get lost in other organizational bottlenecks. "AI can make us more efficient!" I yell as I suffer through the seventh meeting that could have an email of the day. 170

Pavel @spavel.bsky.social · 29/05/2025The entire GenAI industry only keeps its valuations afloat through breathless hype. AI can't just be a thing that a computer does - it has to be the future, the thing that changes everything. (Studies show a whopping 3% productivity impact overall from adopting these tools). 3538

Mugtaba G @oddward.space · 30/05/2025The thing I don't get is this sense of urgency to get in on the action for a tech whose purpose is to be accessible and easy to use, and whose ecosystem is rapidly changing every year. I think it's great to experiment and build out the ecosystem but the general vision is very murky. 100
John Borden @bjorkbat.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Something a lot of people miss about Anthropic hype is that its valuation is roughly 43.5x its forward revenue. OpenAI by comparison merely has a valuation roughly 13.5x forward revenue. In other words, Anthropic is insanely overvalued and desperately needs investors to believe they hype. 010
