This bullshit is so common among AI boosters.
As soon as you've made it easier to do the wrong thing, you're going to have a hard time getting people to do the right thing. In practice I've never seen people using AI tools actually treat them to "refine phrasing" - it's the whole thing every time.
There are two levels of wink and nod going on in this piece.
Here's the first.
“Hey this obviously inferior thing to save to time. Oh, but you know, take tons of time to do it carefully and not in an inferior way.”
Once you grant people permission, they'll cut corners under time pressure.
