I need to babble about my re-write of #SimonGhostRiley 's backstory. In which most of it is the same, but Joseph gets to live Contains spoilers for the MW2: Ghost comics. Also completely spoils my own as-yet unshared fic lol thread length: 20 Content warning for murder, child harm, and corpses. +

How does Joseph survive? Washington (dude who did the deed) had pistol-whipped him to keep him from screaming; Tom was holding his son when he was shot, so his body was laying over/covering Joseph's. Washington didn't bother confirming all 4 kills; the adults were dead, he figured the kid was too. +

Does Simon know? Not at first. Bro was a too bit busy having a mental breakdown to notice that his nephew wasn't dead, just unconscious. And again, he was under Tom's body. [Honestly, with the deadweight on top of him, the poor kid probably would've been crushed and/or smothered, +
