wip wednesday is a thing and I crave validation, so here's a bit from part 1 of the homewrecker simon 'verse #ghoap #09ghoap

There were three things John MacTavish - otherwise known as Soap - could always certain of: death, taxes, and his knack for giving in to horribly daft impulses.

Such as hanging around the pub, flirting with people he had no business to be flirting with. Unlikely that Chloe would really care at that point, but it was the principle of the thing.

He was hardly halfway to being pished when something- someone- caught his eye.

The lad was tall, likely of a height with Soap himself, and well built. Not quite a brick shithouse, he was a tad too lean for that, but no doubt just as sturdy. The hood of his jumper kept his face shadowed, but the sleeves were pushed up to show off toned forearms and a tattoo that was trying too hard.

Most significantly - in Soap's mind at least - was how fucking fantastic his ass looked in those jeans. He might've been a bit more jaked than he'd initially thought, otherwise he wouldn't have unsubtly leaned back just to keep that work of art in his line of sight. Denim looked damn near painted on.

Yes, Alejandro and Rudy - our beloved Mexican Husband duo - run a queer pub in England because it's my story so I do what I want. Also John wasn't wearing his wedding band on his finger; if he was, Ale wouldn't have meddled. He doesn't care what people do, but he wouldn't set Ghost up for drama.

of course that's kinda exactly what he did, but he did it unwittingly. Note that Simon's a couple months shy of turning 20, and Soap's 33. He's absolutely gonna see Si's face and be like oh shite you're fuckin young are you even old enough to be here (trans men vs the curse of baby face *sigh*)
