Day 356: Rat Prince, Rat Steward, Rat Queen Regent...

3-panel comic drawn in pen with inkwash shading; the top caption says "Months ago (on April 7th to be exact) I didn't know what to draw, so I created a dumb little character at my spouse's prompting:"
Panel 1 is small and show my spouse, a white, nonbinary person with fluffy, curly hair, square glasses and fashionable facial stubble, shrugging and saying "RAT KING."
Panel 2 is borderless and shows my creation: a fat rat dressed in Renaissance noble garb and a crown and gleefully whipping around the end of his tail.
Panel 3 has a panel that says "But what if there was a smaller, shittier Rat Duke?" In the panel is a full figure drawing of a smarmy-looking rat, also in noble garb but missing a crown, with scraggly speech bubbles saying "I live to serve the Rat King, my older cousin, I LOVE the King and would be DEVASTATED if something fowl were to befall him, mmmmmmmm" and the M's of 'MMMMM' run off the edge of the page.
Beneath the comic is my signature (kat Baumann), today's date (12-23-25) and the time I spent drawing this (50 minutes)
