One of my art teachers, Barron Storey, is going through health issues right now. His fundraiser is going well so far, and it seems a lot of former students are contributing. www.gofundme.com/f/please-help-barr…

I was in Barron's "Visual Journalism" and comics class. His work is based on drawing from life, so I ended up drawing him lecturing to remember what he said LOL. Maybe you can see his influence in my work to this day😛

2 doodles of an old man with an ahoge, with some black birds standing on telephone wires behind him.

3 Ink drawings of the same old man with ahoge, i have written the chinese character "lao" for old above him because he is old.

Pink and green ink sketch pages of Barron lecturing. I have drawn stars and kitties and hearts around him because I believe in gap moe.

2 page spread of Barron lecturing at a big table. a word bubble says "Back then, art students wanted to do fashion drawings, it was en vogue to only draw one eye." There is another student staring at him from across the table and drawing. I have written a note pointing to his shirt, "His wife likes this shirt" because that's what he told us.

I can see the traits! 😆 I'm glad to see his fundraiser is going so well. God knows it's far too common famous artists have to rely on these to cover important expenses like his. But this man must truly be beloved to have so many of his former students like yourself rooting for him and donating. ❤️
