A friend donated this IBM ThinkPad 365X to me, saying "I knew you'd know what to do with it!" I tried an SD to IDE adapter, but that was a no-go. The laptop could see some files, but trying to access them made half disappear. Very odd. The CF to IDE adapter, though? Proof is in the pudding!

im yet to find anything nearly as satisfying as snapping a compact flash into the adapter. sd cards dont come CLOSE. maybe it's cuz i grew up learning photography with one? I dunno I just love how it feels like a big Nintendo game cart

SD/CF to IDE adaptors? I had no idea such exceptionally niche but very useful things existed 😍 (Might mean I can get my old Panasonic CF-41 tough book working one day!)
