It gets a bit different when there are accusations of criminal activity, and when we’re talking about a senior position in that party. 110

The two roles do start to conflict. It wouldn’t be allowed outside of academia, my boss would say “no, too much of a risk of conflicts, pick one of the jobs”. 110
