Today’s Tunes, XXIV The Bad Fire Mogwai Temporary Residence Ltd (US), 2025 Everything about this album from the way it flows, its textures, and the calm it brings… makes it perfect for a slow Friday morning with a little rain. After a family health scare I needed rest. #vinyl #vinylsky #mogwai

Color image. A hand holds up a vinyl record gatefold. Its cover emblazoned with the band’s name “MOGWAI” in large black letters. The lower portion of the cover features red, yellow, blue, black and white distressed imagery of a volcanic crater, designed in such a way to evoke eruption. The album is Mogwai’s 2025 release “The Bad Fire.”

Today’s Tunes, XXIII Paranoid Black Sabbath Vertigo/ Warner Bros Records, 1970 I don’t often jump on the bandwagon, but I gotta pay my respects to one of my favorite heavy metal albums, and one of the most influential records (and bands) to that genre of music. RIP Prince of Darkness. #vinyl
