🦅 The Old Guard. #Art #Sketch #TraditionalArt

A grayscale pencil sketch depicts an elderly man, presumably a retired military officer, in acontemplative pose. He wears a dark grey US Air Force flight cap with a prominent, stylized eagle insignia on the front. The cap sits slightly tilted, adding to the image's slightly worn and thoughtful feel. The man is deeply tanned and has a weathered face etched with lines that speakof years of experience. He wears dark-framed sunglasses that shield his eyes and convey an air of quiet observation.

His expression is serious and focused; he’s holding a silver Zippo pipe in his right hand. The pipe is a prominent element, suggesting a habitual or nostalgic ritual. He’s wearing a dark blue Air Force jacket with silver wing insignia on thesleeve. The shading is detailed, especially around his face, hands, and the folds of his jacket, suggesting texture and depth. The drawing has a slightly loose, sketch-like quality, contributing to the feeling of a candid portrait. The overall impression is one of a retired, distinguished figure, possibly reflecting on past experiences.
