1253: Maeve and Reed 5 - The Orphaned - Twokinds

A webcomic about a clueless hero, a mischievous tigress, an angsty warrior, and a gender-confused wolf.

God I hope this plot line ends with Edith and the Orphans moving to Legacy Estate. Let Rose be an Auntie for them, have stoney protect them, and get them all out of Edinmire

Oh that is fucked up. Like… legitimately fucked up. Reed better just take Maeve to her place and let her stay there because no one deserves that. I’d honestly also suggest Reed recommend to her superior that an official crackdown on such practices be done. These are just children for fucks sake!

Who ever tries to put one of those thing on Maeve will have to go trough me first, and i have a very strong mother sense. You do not want me go anrgy by doing curel things to a child.

Those conditions are absolutely awful, I hope that they are at the very least improved for the Keidran living there. Also, Reed better not leave Maeve there.

Now you understand perhaps with even more reasons than there already were before that this... is a very bad idea, Reed? Who told you this was a good idea? Seriously! Because I'm pretty sure they were lying.

CrimsonQuill086 (COMMISSIONS OPEN!) @crimsonquill086.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Hearth's bark. Freaking Brittle Black Holes, this is horrifying. Like something out of the Irish Famine workhouses or the WW2 Internment camps... I hope, I HOPE that Alice chooses not to leave Maeve here. Not when there's all...this. And...children going Feral? In the Orphanage...this is so dark.

000

joshofspam.bsky.social @joshofspam.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

This got dark, and current history doesn't make it hit any softer. Not sure if I'd as yet give Edith a pass as some would here. Some of the things here heard and seen suggest the possibility of more than just neglect from a lack of resources. Blood? Feral Keidran? This might get darker still.

000

🔞Customaera🔞 @customaera.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Oh man, looking at the previous page, you can tell Edith doesn't want to put these Keidran through this. Probably doesn't want to put the collar on Maeve either. But she did say that they are the ONLY orphanage taking in Keidran. Tells me that these guys tried to go elsewhere, but were turned away.

This world badly needs John Brown. Now he'll have some funny ideas about keidran to be sure, but I think the moment he learns that Templars are manufacturing magic slave collars...Their days are numbered www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrBW...

I hope Reed raises some hell over this and gets that fixed before letting Maeve there (ideally before going home that night - none of those poor kids deserve it)... but I also hope Edith doesn't catch any flak for it, she seemed to not be in on these decisions.

Yeah, I was thinking this was going to be bad when Edith said they had no beds and then asked "Are you sure?", on top of her generally miserable look as a whole. Then her look as they were going into the room... This is even worse than I was thinking.
