leda is still my favorite character after 50 hours of fortune's weave. she's SO angry. every instance of her anger in part 1 drives to its natural conclusion, whether it be "shoot innocents" or "scream at a child". there is no sugarcoating. leda is all in on revenge and we're just along for the ride

women so often are angry in media but so rarely are they allowed to act out of anger. leda's path is refreshing. leda's rage is just rage. it's rage like john wick's rage, like edmond dante's rage. it's rage at the injustice that put you on red tunnel vision. she gets to go on a rampage.

and i'll admit: i kin her! anger is the vice i most readily give into and it's my knee-jerk response to Bad Things. i grow so tired that women's anger against injustice and grief have to be noble in some way. anger is ugly and it breeds and breeds and sometimes it's beautiful to indulge in the slime
