🦇Bram Stoker’s Grantula🦇 @grantthethief.bsky.social · 29/11/2024What’s so intoxicating about art is that despite the difficulty of creating it, the juice is worth the squeeze. It’s a struggle to make something from nothing! But the outcome - and even the journey - is worthwhile. It’s worth doing. We write. We draw. We compose. We’re conjurers of possibility. 221303232
ThomasKDahl @thomaskdahl.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Well put indeed! And often it seems that the ones who "fail" are the impatient ones who focus so much on the result - and the glory to follow, that they hurry through their creations without either passion or time for their art to mature! 110

Sauci_cat @sauci-cat.bsky.social · 29/11/2024yeah true, it's sometimes difficult and we are not always inspired, but when ou look at what you created, you're like "I did it" 😀 010
Sir Drewski @sirdrewski.bsky.social · 29/11/2024To bring something into physical form that once only existed as an idea, a figment of one’s imagination, is a spiritual act. Sometimes when I’m writing and birthing a new song, it feels like immaculate conception. 010
@arfaanhashim @arfaanhashim4u.bsky.social · 29/11/2024I know when I’m struggling to make The Thing I Want, I find it’s helpful to just make anything. Mindless doodles on the margins, random paragraphs for things that pop into my mind, etc. Make little morsels without expectation of structure or outcome - think of it like a daily walk, artistically. 000
Valerie 🔞 @phantosanucca.bsky.social · 29/11/2024For the last decade, I have not felt like the juice was worth the squeeze in terms of making art. I am open to hearing any tips on how to remedy this, because I miss WANTING to draw. 120
VoidowS @voidows.bsky.social · 29/11/2024worldwide old debate: you first need to see an idea/creation, before you can come up with one. Try to create something that is never done before? many say np, and talk of things that in the end r inspired of things already in their surrounding. and build on top of that. no a total new thing, try it 110

🦇Bram Stoker’s Grantula🦇 @grantthethief.bsky.social · 29/11/2024I hate having to face the blank page again and again. That ceaseless hydra. But the joy of having made something, anything, even the bad stuff. Especially the bad stuff! What a life-affirming thrill. 2283

J.C.S.—Artist @beamup.bsky.social · 29/11/2024To stare at the blank canvas can be daunting, exhilarating, inspiring and confusing all at the same time. To apply that first stroke in trepidation or confidence is a leap of faith towards fulfillment or failure. But to not make the attempt is unforgivable. Go for it! 010

✴️Laura Sakuraki🌙 @laurasakuraki.bsky.social · 29/11/2024It's the process that's also very artistic in a way. The journey, the LORE behind progress, even something as simple as the emotion you're feeling at the moment while creating. All of it is just art making even the artist in itself an art form ✨✨✨ 110
