Nagatitan chaiyaphumensis

This titan of Southeast Asia is a recently described species of Euhelopodidae Somphospondyli Sauropod from Northeastern Thailand. Its fossil was found in 2016 by the late Thanom Luangnan on the bank or a pond in the outcrops of the Khok Kruat Formation in Chaiyaphum province, approximately 115-100 million years ago.
It is estimated to be 27 meters long and weighing 27 metric tons, making it the largest dinosaur known from Southeast Asia. Prior to its official description in 2026, it has been nicknamed "Thaitan" or the "Last Titan of Thailand." Its generic name is a combination of Naga, a race of mythological serpent in Asian cultures, and titan, a common suffix for sauropod dinosaurs.
