Sidorak's origin as a Makuta-created "backup" servant didn't make it into the final lore. He was instead written as a member of an unnamed race from the island of Stelt who got hired by the Makuta Brotherhood. His incompetent film portrayal inspired his canon persona as an opportunistic liar.
