Even into early 2010’s when I was having relationship/sex ed classes, no mention was made into same-sex relationships.
The rise in anti LGBT+ rhetoric is palpable. No child should feel ashamed for being themselves.

In 1988, the UK banned the “promotion” of homosexuality in schools, It silenced LGBTs & fuelled shame.
After yrs of activism, it was repealed in '03 (Scotland 2000), but with anti-LGBT+ rhetoric rising, we must stay vigilant.
