Trevor Foster @darthfos.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Drawing down the Strategic Petroleum Reserve has other consequences that many don't realize. The oil is stored in tall vertical salt caverns. To pump oil out, they fill the lower part with fresh water which erodes the wall structure.
