Liam @ GamingOnLinux @gamingonlinux.com · 07/05/2026Just a reminder that we're trying out Fluxer as a Discord alternative if you want to try it too: fluxer.gg/nXH7VLiafluxer.ggFluxerFluxer is a free and open source instant messaging and VoIP platform built for friends, groups, and communities. 4578
Oog, The Official Ninja Turtle of Bisexuality @oog.rainbowro.ad · 07/05/2026Not necessarily a knock, but I know you've been pretty anti-AI - did the vibe coding stuff not put you off of Fluxer? The discord-alternative landscape is pretty rough in general so I'm not really judging here. Just curious mostly. 200
AllyProto @allytheprotogen.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Yeah, with Fluxer having some vibe coded elements and not even being completely clear/honest about what is and isn't AI generated, gotta say that Fluxer is a huge NO for me. Along with them not even having a mobile app, they seem pretty under developed compared to something like Stoat/Matrix 420
So Much For Subtlety @laephis.bsky.social · 07/05/2026I was getting set to self-host Fluxer in the near future, but learning about their AI-coding practices has put me right off. That's a security exploit in the making. 100
web dev fox raccoon thing @talongrip.dev · 08/05/2026It's one of the alternatives I've been looking at for the community I work in. I think the big thing for us though is that we rely on or are involved with other community servers who are heavily rooted with Discord. If it's worth it, I could see them switching. Anything to drop Discord for good. 011
