Friday #EidinthePark hosted by Lewisham Mosque. I wish all celebrating Eid Mubarak—despite our grief & anger at millions being starved & genocided in Palestine, Sudan, Myanmar. We recommit to acting in solidarity to end genocide, while uniting to defend the UK from far right in the streets & in Govt

I am in foreground wearing a maroon tasselled Middle Eastern robe and midnight blue, red and gold flowery headscarf, speaking to a crowd of thousands. There are hundreds of Muslim men and boys from diverse heritages come to pray, kneeling in the foreground and background (you can only see the men from this shot as the genders are segregated).

Myself with Imam Shakeel Begg (centre) and local Green member and Mosque member Rashid

Sunny day and fairground atmosphere at Eid in the Park - dodgems and Avalanche thrill ride and other activities. Children, young women and families enjoying activities. Local Green member and Mosque member Rashid in the foreground to the right.
