Kiwi was one the gang at @scrollboss.bsky.social's Prime Central Station back in the early 2000s. He even sprited one of my King sketches.
@thediepod.bsky.socialThere's an old tutorial by derek yu that I like from forever ago. Also KiwiRGB has a great website for capcom style pixel art processes. The most important thing for me was getting a good look at the kinds of sprites I wanted to make. So spritesheet sites are good too.
