The opening to Desperado (1995). Tarantino once talked about using Miserlou for Pulp Fiction being like throwing down a gauntlet that the rest of the movie now had to live up to. I feel similar about this scene for Desperado, cause it’s so good. youtu.be/w5fLGWrHouk?...

I’d seen Banderas in Philadelphia and Interview with a Vampire before this, but damn if this wasn’t the thing that made me sit up and take notice. The charisma and smooth physicality he displays are top notch. Like, that slink under the mirrorball as he walks along the bar… that’s good shit.

The Amp to Amp battle from Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010). Honestly, gives me goosebumps every time. The scale, the sound, the fact that Threshold is a fucking jam. Yeah, love this one. Love it. youtu.be/vAnzzB_dafk?...
