Asked Pokemon Center support team what makes you eligible, and it’s apparently random. Sorry y’all.

Email message to support, listing scenarios where customer could be eligible for the promotion. Reads as follows:
“Thank you for your response Agent_Lars! However, I am still a little confused. I am asking about eligibility to receive the code itself. Could you confirm in which cases a customer would be sent the email for that code? (Assuming that all scenarios are in United States locations and have updated their email before January 15th)

1. Customer has purchased from the Pokemon Center before using email at checkout, but has not been part of mailing list.
2. Customer has been part of mailing list in the past.
3. Customer has heard of this promotion and subscribes for the first time to the Pokemon Center mailing list.
4. Customer has subscribed to other Pokemon sites such as PokemonTCG.

I think this would clear up a lot of confusion for a large amount of people on social media. If you are unable to answer, please let me know. Thank you for your time!“

An email response from the Pokemon Center support. Reads as follows:
“Hello [REDACTED],

Thank you for your reply!

We are very sorry not all customers will receive the email, only randomly selected customers. If you did not receive the email you were not one of the randomly selected customers. We will not be able to assist you with this issue if you were not one of the customers who were selected.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for understanding!”
