They should read up on Hillock in POE 1 and see if they feel the same way.
@ehudkurzweil.bsky.socialDiablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 operate on pretty similar levels of metaphysical misery, but for some reason I found Diablo 4 a more compelling story than Path of Exile 2. Probably because I don't remember any of PoE2's characters by name
